Not invading Russia at all, for one. Charles XIV of Sweden, Napoleon, the Germans in WWI & WWII... the ability of the Russians to trade physical space in exchange for time and strategic depth is matchless. How far has an invader ever reached? Moscow. Not really even the Urals. The country is just too vast.Besides not invading Russia in the winter, what's a top lesson?
Very interesting, I used to map near shore and offshore wrecks, hangs , obstructions, , craters, pipelines. For commercial and recreational fishing purposes.
Converting LORAN C T/D #’s to DGPS #s
The underwater GIS from Mexico to the Mississippi River Delta is fascinating
Well this is rapidly degenerating, as many of my efforts seem to do...
What I was expecting was not just WHAT you are good at, but WHY and what we can learn to up our game from your experience and inside tips.
It’s true those C #’s get burned in to the brain , I used to have friends who wanted to enter a fishing tournament and they would bug me for my “ secret “ numbers and I would crank them out in LORAN C which was a obsolete language for them!Reading you post gave me flash backs to loving “arguments” between father and I over fishing grounds. He was a commercial fisherman among other things through his life and I fish commercially however his years in the industry were covered predominantly by loran C where as I’m from the hondex/Olex generation. He used to say a real fisherman can memorize his numbers… thanks for that.

Oh, things like pistol shooting tips from Tanks, or how to get the best car deal from someone inside the business, or offroading advice, physical training advice for sheep hunts, etc. Best practices from the best. Much like Rookhawk on stock finishes recently--just sharing how to a achieve a better result. And I wouldn't rule out how to cook the best steak, or what is the best brisket rub.Not invading Russia at all, for one. @steve white Practically speaking, what are the "up our game" tips you're looking to find?
Talk to @Houston Bill about the best steak…And I wouldn't rule out how to cook the best steak, or what is the best brisket rub.
I think this is a commendable concept.Still headed toward the "Suppository of Skills" it would seem
Well, not sure this is a skill but I have overseen somewhere north of 120,000 car deals in a long career. Happy to help with automotive advice or sell you a Toyota or Lexus if you have the want or need.

Toyota has mastered Hybrid tech over the last 25+ years. We now have Hybrid/Electrified options in almost every model line. The additional torque the system provides is a nice benefit and a few extra MPG doesn't hurt with high gas prices. Please note that I said a "few MPG". The hybrid system is flexible and in Camry, Prius, Corolla, etc. it is all about MPG. The Hybrids in the Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, 4Runner, Lexus LX700, etc. were designed to provide substantial extra power first and MPG gain second. As a side note, I always drive a Hybrid as a demo. How about an insider's opinion of the new gen turbo/hybrid engines in the Land Cruisers. And the Highlander - all electric starting next year? The wife is sad about that...
