If I was a re-loader and picking out my first DG rifle, the B&M's would be in serious consideration for my choice. Good luck in getting it sold Dave.
Well, maybe if you need a nice 450 Dakota. We could work a trade....but then the brothers would still be separated!
Tim, At the risk of sounding gay and offending someone, I really like your wood! You need to keep it!
I'm quite happy to put the purchaser of AZDave's .458 B&M in touch with the designer of this cartridge, who can supply extensive reloading and testing data.
Well @tarbe and I tried to work out a trade but couldn't find a way to make it happen that didn't get one or both of us in trouble with our better half's. So the 458 B&M is still available
I’m not in the hunt for this very fine rifle, but this rifle has the most beautiful wood I’ve ever seen!
Is the B & M cartridge similar to a .458 Socom? I guess I need to google it? It’s a new cartridge to me and I can’t really see the cartridge size in the boxes in your photos. Just curious? Thanks!
The 458 B&M is a Ultra Mag shortened the case to 2.240 and necked down to 458. Here is link to more information: https://www.b-mriflesandcartridges.com/458-B-M.html
I would have been all over this but I don't like the stock. Replacing the wood my 500 MDM cost almost $1900. So this rifle would not be feasible to me.
