Hello. I have 2 boxes of ammo that I’d love to pick up rifles for, but probably never will. So, best to let someone who will use them pick them up. Please understand that I am only selling 19 of the 20 rounds in each box. I am keeping one of each to add to my ammo collection because they are wicked cool.

First is a box of .416 Rigby - Federal Premium Safari Cape-Shok 400 Gr. Swift A-Frame, P416SA.
Looking online, pricing is 179-200 plus shipping. Figuring you are only getting 19 rounds, that equates to $180.50. $150 delivered CONUS (no California).

Second is a box of .458 Lott - Federal Premium Safari Cape-Shok 500 Gr. Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solids, P458LT2.
Looking online, pricing is 130-153 plus shipping. Figuring you are only getting 19 rounds, that equates to $133. $110 delivered CONUS (no California).

Would prefer PayPal as I am trying to get my PayPal balance up enough to buy a knife or two from VonGruff knives.

Would also consider trades for .375 H&H ammo and .348 Winchester ammo.

If you feel my prices are out of line, feel free to send me an offer.

Ken, how do you like your Winchester Model 71? I love mine, it was built in 1936. Do you load your own ammo for it? If so what is your recipe? I bought my rifle back in the mid 90(s) without doing any research. I stopped by a local gun shop on the way home and asked to buy some ammo. I was just about floored when the proprietor whom I'd known for years told me that Winchester had quit making ammo a number of years ago. I immediately thought I was going to have to hang it over a fireplace and forget it. When I got home I found that I could buy reloading components which made me a happy camper. Every once in a while I get a bug up my butt to hunt White Tails "old school." When I do, it is the Model 71 that I grab.

Hello Shootist43. Mine dates from 1945. Love to shoot it and it is one of the favorite when I take out people who have never shot before and let them run a couple rounds through a “real cowboy gun.”
Just an fyi, Winchester makes a run of .348 ammo every 2-4 years so it pays to keep your eyes peeled for when they do. Darn expensive when it comes out but it is always nice to have some factory so.
I lucked out. When my dad passed it to me, it came with a few hundred rounds of ammo along with dies. I have picked up bullets and brass along the way. My favorite loads are 49gr of IMR4320 (range is 44.1-54.1gr) and 57.5gr of IR4350 (range 54.2-60.7) because it is a common powder for me and has a wide range for the load so being off a few tenths of a grain is not big deal. Easy and forgiving. That is under a standard 200gr FP.
