30" Rock Creek Carbon Wrapped barrel

That’s a lot of energy in a 30 cal. How many rounds before you figure you’ll have to replace that barrel?

More than I'll shoot. Once I'm sighted in I'll only use it for long range shots on game and that's not a lot of shooting
The 240 SMK has a BC of .711

In case I do shoot the barrel out I have another just like it in an 8 twist

The rifle is built on a Remington 700 action with seeking detachable box magazine that allows a over all cartridge length of 3.9". Right now I'm loaded at 3.84". The barrel is a Rock Creek 5R 30" Carbon Wrapped by ABS before they sold out. Rifle, scope and magazine weighs 12 pounds.
I just sighted in at 50, tomorrow I will finalize zero at yards and shoot for.

Long range shots on game? SMKs is not a hunting bullet. What's the hunting bullet?

A 240 grain SMK blows huge holes in deer and is and excellent long range hunting bullet on deer or elk.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
