Thank you. Stalking to get downwind or crosswind, and from the blind side of the animal, with a tree or foliage or hill in between you & the animal and going much much more slowly than anyone understands—all can make all the difference. When I stalk whitetails in the middle of the day on crunchy leaves I do the same thing and very successfully. I’ll walk 30 yards in 30 minutes on average.
