About Mukungule GMA
Located along the northern and western boundaries of North Luangwa National Park, Mukungule Game Management Area (GMA) offers a truly exceptional safari experience in one of Zambia’s most pristine and well-protected regions.
North Luangwa is home to Zambia’s only black rhino sanctuary and thanks to strong conservation efforts. You can expect healthy populations of elephant, leopard, buffalo, eland, sable, waterbuck.
Getting There:
By Air:
Direct Charter from Lusaka > Mukungule
Cessna 206: Approx. $3,500 each way (2 hr 30 min)
Beechcraft Baron: Approx. $4,500 each way (1 hr 45 min)
Via Kasama (Commercial + Road):
Commercial Flight Lusaka > Kasama: ~$350 each way
Followed by a 5-hour road transfer: $500 each way
*Flights to Kasama operate on selected days only
By Road:
Lusaka > Mukungule (Drive): $1,000 each way
Approx. 12 hours by road
