Unlike some other parts of Southern Africa, the Caprivi received LOTS of rain during the period November to now. Notwithstanding that, our first client for 2018, connected with this nice Sobbe Conservancy buffalo! Off to a good start for 2018...

That's some crazy rain! Must make the stalk very challenging. I suspect there are trophy sized bugs too!

Like our wet season here - very heavy rain and flooding.
Mother Nature Pheroze!

Nice and heavy, what a great cape buffalo you gentlemen got hunting.

Great bosses on that buf. Good to see the water. Greens a place up. Lots of food and cover.

Another old warrior down today....

Karl that is a nice buff. Looks like you have water almost up to the truck doors in one picture.
You mention the rain.......how much have you received during the period mentioned and how does that compare with what you normally receive?

The first picture was a really handsome buff, but that second one...WOW...has he been around! What a trophy of on old warrior! Shredded ears! Broken/worn off tips! Amazing!

Well Karl I guess tracking went out the door.:D

That old buff, what a trophy. They don't get that old by being stupid. Hopefully it will be a bit dryer in September especially in Sik.:D

CAustin, we had over 36 inches for the year to date, and it looks like we may get more before the end if the rainy season. 20 to 25 would be about average. There is some areas on Sobbe specifically that we cannot drive at all. Buffalo ttacking actually easy if not in too much grass, elephant difficult!

This is the type of bull we try to hunt, especially in our park concession.

I really like the look of your areas and the animals you show. Very nice

Some nice buffs to start the season!

Karl,
Send some of that excess rain over to us here in Cape Town, PLEASE!!!

Bruce, if I could, I would! I see my rugby team down from your side is struggling this year...!

Congrats on a great, albeit wet, start to the season. A couple of magnificent bulls! each in his own way (y)
