Etosha National Park was proclaimed as a game reserve already in 1907. The present survive of Etosha is 22 912 km which makes it one of the largest in Africa.
Of the 114 mammal species found in Etosha, some of them are rare and endangered like the black Rhino, Cheetah and the lesser-known Black Face Impala. Elephants, lion and leopard can also be found in Etosha apart from the hundreds of antelope species that will be seen on a daily basis. A total of 340 bird species can also be found.
