The AYA N° 2 Hand detachable Sidelock. Since its introduction in the late 1950s, tens of thousands of N° 2's have been sold in the United Kingdom, the United States, and everywhere that shooters value the superb balance and handling characteristics of a fine double gun. Mechanically, the N° 2 is identical to the N° 1, AyA's flagship best model. Like the N° 1, it was originally modeled on the time-tested Holland & Holland system. When looking at "BEST GUN" features, the AyA No. 2 has them all, and wraps them up in a very well made, well respected, affordable gun. Features like finely struck chopper-lump barrels, hand engraved sculpted action with beaded fences, hand-detachable sidelocks, articulated front trigger, removable firing pin bushings, long-tang trigger guard, finely figured walnut stocked to the fences with drop-points, hand-checkered stocks all combine to make a very elegant gun. This gun was built in 1971 and remains in factory original condition, with 98% deep rust blue on the barrels, 90% blue on trigger guard, pleasing coin finish action, and 98% hand-rubbed oil finish on the will figured European walnut. The gun is mechanically excellent with 27" chopper lump barrels choked SK/LM, tight on the hinge pin and breech face, The ejectors strong and well timed, trigger pulls crisp...all in superb condition.

The wood on the gun is solid, with no cracks, fine 28 checkering (can be recut for you if you wish), and terminating in a thin European recoil pad. Balance perfectly on the hinge pin, this No. 2 is an Ultralight

Fantastic shotguns and a great price. If I didn't already have one, I would jump on it

If this No 2 was a 28 ga I’d be on it faster then stink on a monkeys butt…

I LOVE THOSE VINTAGE 1970's AYA NO. 2's ... :D

They are a lot of gun for the money. You couldn’t get someone to make the stock or the barrels for this price. Happy it’s going to Buckstix

Be careful of hunting Chewore South, the area has been decimated.....

Curious about this. I hunted Chewore South with D&Y in September and they did tell me it was there last hunt there.

Which outfits shot it out?
