Gents:
Still for sale is my 16 bore Westley. Made in 1881 and sold to a retailer in France in 1882, she was not doubt the finest of the fine best quality shotgun. If this rifle was 100% it would be $7500 but is priced at only $1600 as it needs some serious barrel work. Some time ago about 2 inches of the left barrel, about a foot down from the muzzle, was blown out and a piece of Damascus was welded in. The job is fairly well done but it needs one of four things to make it right: 1) new barrels, 2) exterior filed and bores honed (there is enough wall thickness to do this, 3) monoblock new tubes, or 4) install Brielly tubes in 20 or 28 gauge. One gent is thinking about new barrels in either .45-70 or .450 bpe. Either way where can you get a shotgun with this potential for this price? Yes, I know it will take some work, but think of the end result! Note the fine wood grain and the heel and toe plates & oval in the stock (the wood is worth the price I'm asking). As an antique I can post this directly to you as long as you can own it legally where it is sent. Again, the price is $1600. Please add 75$ for postage and insurance sent registered mail USPS. Due to the barrels, the gun is sold "where is as is." Thanks for looking.
