I haven't caught a glimpse of any Panthers or Black Bears on my place yet, but the neighbors say they are there.

Plenty of black bears but no panthers in my Central Florida lease. The bears are a real pain especially with corn feeders. Not so bad on protein. If you get bears and need feeders for corn try the One and Done. They are bear proof

Tina and I just bought a 600lb feeder thinking the hogs couldn't possibly knock it over, but I never considered Black Bears.

In the video I find it curious that the Panther runs right over the coons to get the Buck. I guess trash panda's aren't worth the effort.

No bears your good to go. Raccoons can create havoc. If you’re just attracting deer corn is good. Protein keeps them growing. We have a pretty extensive feeding program across all of our 6K acres. We even do a deworming program in spring. With protein it’s feeding all year and can get a little costly

Nothing is going to knock it over if we stake it to a concrete pad! Not even a Florida Sasquatch or the hillbilly next store who rides around uninvited on our property in their ATV!

Even if panthers are plentiful in an area it is unlikely that you will see one. They are a cryptic species. I have lived around mountain lions for !most of my life and have only seen two. One of those was there and hone so fast that it took me a second to realize what I had seen. They are quite common on my families ranch. One killed and ate two horses before the state predator control officer caught it with dogs and killed it. None of us had ever seen one though you can often find tracks in mud and my cousin put out trail cameras and has got pictures of many of them.

On the other hand,sometimes the screw up. My son-in-law and I were deer hunting in the Cascades, he noticed a cougar watching him and slowly tried to bring his rifle up to shoot. The cat broke and went through the thick brush, along with three others. He couldn't get a clear shot. Would have been a female with three nearly grown cubs. Most people who kill one only see one in their life. Hunting cougars ( mountain lions, panthers, pumas, etc) with dogs is not legal in Washington. I buy a tag every year, you never know.
