45 in 2016 to the Save, Buffalo in the Save was the first animal I took in Africa, went back in 2018 to C9 in Mozambique, and had plans for 2019 that didn't work out then Covid and life has gotten in the way. I think about it multiple times a day everyday.
Just order some NorthForks from reloading international, it’s likely they will shoot better than the swifts, no guarantees but I bet you won’t be disappointed
Evidently not in this case, I am more of a superposed kind of guy, haven't had a double rifle yet but this one looks nice. The guys I shoot skeet with all shoot right handed guns and have to dismount and change hands to get the gun open, I don't think that would be a good quality for a DG double.
I spent a couple days tracking Buffalo there in 2016, lots of plains game, elephant and Buffalo, they had just killed a big lion. Beautiful area, I believe there are some reports on here if you use the search function.
These are what I have for recovered NF's, 23 animal's from Klipspringer to Giraffe including a couple Buffalo and one very large Eland. The bullets on the right came from the Eland and Giraffe and where mostly finishing shot's I believe. I also saw a soft (300 gr SS)under the offside skin on a...
You should buy it, its pretty nice, I bought another AHR 375 after I sold that one because I missed that one!! LOL, in retrospect I could sell every safari rifle I have and just use that one if I could get it back!!
I sold this rifle back in 2018, maybe @Aaron N has something he wants to put back on the market and posted on my thread? If I hadn't sold this I would be keeping it at this point
The North Fork softs a just as good as the CPS's. I have typed it on here many time's, and told anyone who will listen, the north fork will have the lowest standard deviation with less powder and the same velocity as other bullet's, thus being more accurate than the other's. I have...
No such thing as overkill in Africa, the -06 or 7 Mag would do fine like Phil has stated in a plains game area. But while your there I would advise going to a Dangerous Game area and in that situation a 375 is the perfect plains game rifle, just in case. A plains game safari in a big wild...
I have one that is super nice in 300 win mag, 7L so 1967, no salt, has some light pitting on the barrel, looks like someone left some blood on it, otherwise remarkable condition for a 55 year old gun, I would sell it
I see what some of these newer CRF or even some push feed rifle's cost and it makes me think this era of rifle is a steal, especially one that has been fine tuned like this one
Are you looking for a serious skeet gun or fun skeet gun? A short barreled K80 skeet would work for a serious skeet gun, like others have mentioned anything under 30” has fallen out of favor so you could find a much better deal. A Browning Citori with your chosen barrel length would do fine for...
I have been lucky and fortunate to have some really nice guns, I get bored with them, and try to rehome them with someone that will use and appreciate them
Hold's 5 down in the magazine and you can push the 6th shell down a bit and close the bolt for some serious capacity. If you happen to get in a gun battle you will win. LOL
Several have asked about recoil of this gun, its no pussycat, but it really isn't painful or uncontrollable. I have only shot it off the sticks and shooting 3-4 rounds and then switching to something else, not bad at all. Now if you think it is going to make a difference and your one of those...
Just watch for demo deals at Cameraland and get the Leica's in whatever configuration you seek, if you ever get your hands on some that's what you will end up with anyways
I have a beautiful AHR custom in 458 Lott, 23"barrel, 13 7/8" LOP, 8.8# with Leica Red Dot and Wayne's QD mount, this one is trimmer and very lively, fast on target with the Leica Red Dot sight which can be added along for an additional $600. Like all of Wayne's #3's this gun is really a...
