    416 Rigby and filler

I've cut Kynoch wads down and used filler in a lot of calibers with no problems at all, it just burns up , and best to keep the powder column squared up within the case for consistent ignition. That being said I've shot a 416 rigby a lot and never felt the need.....take some pics if you can of...

What Will Banning Of Trophy Hunting Result In?

I hope African countries ,(and other locations around the world) have the courage to stand up to the whack jobs (europeans and these idiots in the US & Canada) that seem to be screaming the loudest against the true and natural way of life that hunting provides. We are at odds with truly empty...

    Tsetse flies

My last safari to Coutada 9 in Moz they did the same thing, works like magic. Those bugs are annoying. I also used skin so soft bug repellant/sunscreen and only had been bitten twice by the end of a 10 day safari, where i had missed application.......and the place was alive with tsetse flies

Parkwest SD-76 Dark Continent Rifle in 375 H&H – First Impressions

RJ Renner "Old Africa" Model 70 Upgrade

I had one of the best rifle makers in the country tell me once that, “you either build a rifle for express sights or an optic, not both”.that doesn’t mean you can’t put a scope on a express rifle, but both sight platforms won’t be completely natural. There is such a thing as a comb to “high”...

SCI Record Book- The World Hunting Awards, Continental, & Milestones.

I agree that it's important to document what's coming from where as far as genetics etc. Everywhere I've hunted it seems that the pH's or outfitters do keep track. I measure things just so I know what I just took from this world. My personal choice is pins, plaques, badges, levels blah blah...

Who prioritize fitness for your upcoming and future safaris?

It's hard., I travel for work, my body is shot from mountain bike crashes, football injuries, etc. It's easy to hate the gym, I try and walk a lot, and bike a lot, but even that is hard to do in Michigan 5 months out of the year with winter. 30 Years ago I could run a 4.5-40yrd, now if I went...

    416 Rigby take-down

Just taking the action out for the stock makes it pack down small. I don't know if I'd pay for the takedown feature unless it was Weibe. The Dakota/Parkwest is cool too and reasonably affordable. I just pack the full length rifle in the light weight single Boyt travel case, in its soft case...

Opinions on the 2300-2400fps velocity range in big game rifles

I've only been on a hand full of safaris using various calibers from 375 to 500J, so I'm not speaking with as much experience as many on here. But it seems to me that once you get to the 50's the whole Idea was perhaps to drive solids of heavy weight further and faster, through say an elephant...

CZ Sells stake in Vista Outdoors

Always volatile in election years,........not much good has come out of Vista from the beginning. Sadly IMO , the majority of the executives running the major firearms companies in the US don't care at all about the 2nd Amend or Guns & Hunting in general. They are in it for the money and it...

Further evidence of the decline of the 450/400 3"?

I work for Benelli USA and Chapuis is part of our line up, I don't see the 450-400 going anywhere. It's a real common sense choice for a versatile double without the punishing recoil. Now the question is will they build a an Iphisi model in 450-400,.....even if it was an extractor gun I...
