The leverevolutions shoot flatter and tend to be more accurate in my experience with the pointed bullet. But your not wrong 405 grain will handle whitetails with no problem.
I’ve personally killed 10-15 deer with the 325 in 45-70 and the 265 in 444 with the lever revolutions and have never had any negative experiences with them on penetration or expansion. Shots have ranged from 15 yards to 200 for me personally and have always had an exit wound no matter the angle...
You may also be able to call the shop and ask for different shot sizes in one box for pattern testing I know they used to have this option if you called.
If you haven’t yet look into Boss shotshells. I use them exclusively for ducks and geese with the copper plated bismuth it allows you to downsize in shot size while keeping and improving the effectiveness due to more pellets equaling better pattern density and better lethality than steel...
Gotcha we shot some wild boar on some of the surrounding public throughout vinton county in college that had supposedly been escaped from there or other theories were dumped from that ranch when they had to many
