Ok Rook, thanks for that! I’m slow on the technology and out west a 100 mile drive one way is “Montana close” and luckily I haven’t been scammed. But it seems while we work an honest day… there is someone at home for the same amount of time figuring out how to screw you.
Awesome! I wish it was cast on. Just out of curiosity why no cashiers check or money orders? Just want to make sure I have knowledge not to get screwed on scams
LH is a hard sell, I get it. This is a quality built double for less money than some of the plastic push feed bolt actions out there. This rifle needs an African trip! Pass the word on to your “correct had” buddies.
So I was told a trigger swap can be done, but the Smith won’t know unless they look or dive into it. Can be pricey, can be easy. Probably best to just be left eye dominant or wrong hand guys could get used to the triggers.
Haha that’s the point! I’ve bought so many rifles over the years “for everyone else”. And shot righty bolts for most. it’s nice to have a few of my own. still holding out for the left eye dominant grandkid. i do know what you’re saying tho about limited resale options.
Same happened (is happening) to me. Although mine is LH so way fewer audience. I took mine off gunbroker after I sold a few others and got hit with a huge bill. I listed on guns international and I think it’s just a one time fee? So if you don’t mind I’ll eavesdrop on the advice you get.
I don’t know? Was hoping a GS on here would have commented. I tried getting ahold of Butch. I’ll reach out and see what local smith says. My guess is the triggers only, if that’s easy or not? Stock should be simple and break lever is already same orientation.
I live in gun paradise. Never heard the term BBQ gun.…. I love it and god bless America! I’m going to be digging in my safe or spend money this summer just to pass on “bbq gun” tradition to everyone I know.
I have sold several on here, gunbroker, and guns international. Gunbroker like everyone says is getting crazy with the tax thing unless you can have them message you first and make the deal offline. Guns international has a posting fee. Selling on here AH has been the easiest and least stressful
$8500 OBO for the guys on this site only. I just can’t shoot it anymore, and it’s too cool to be a decoration until/ if one of my future grandsons turn out to be a lefty.
Action lever breaks to the right, and it has a neutral cast.
So if you're a wrong hand shooter and can live with the lefty cheek piece and triggers.... this could work?
You hit the nail on the head. Literature is what drives the fine “ whatever” prices. If you don’t read and dream when younger, you don’t work to purchase when older.
King of the 30 cal. and steep price for that ammo! I wish I could have shot it, I did have a lefty Dakota action built and re barreled to 264 win mag. That will be my long range one for now
I never did shoot it, but it feeds and ejects like it’s supposed to. I hope for the buyers sake it’s a shooter, it sure is set up to reach out there. I also wish I could have tried the weatherby 195 hammer ammo I picked up for it. Honestly if it would have been lefty I probably would have kept it
