something I can't fathom is how people can spend thousands of dollars on a hunt, sometimes thousands on rifles, optics, and all other kinds of gear. and in the same breath, will put a box of Remington core lokts or another budget cup and core bullet in their rifle. And what makes that worse...
Many cartridges are not considered very accurate by many because of their history as traditional hunting cartridges. Such as 270, 30-06, 7x57, 257 Robb. And many dangerous game cartridges.
What guns do you all have that disprove these claims ,and show groups too if you can.
they seem like one of the best options for 30-30. so I'm asking what experience people have with them and if you have recovered bullets show me a picture.
I'm not saying what you think the best cartridge is for plains game. I am saying the best bullets, like Nosler partition, swift a frame, TBBC, Barnes TSX, etc.
what are your favorite bullets and why?
i have heard that at some point in the 40-50s Roy Weatherby shot and harvested a cape buffalo with a 257 Weatherby magnum. I think its an interesting story and I want to hear some view points.

then i...
i understand its a hot topic primarily because the 220 swift was the rifle that sparked "use enough gun." however have also read and heard accounts of hunters and gun writers saying that the 220 swift is a faster killer on game than cartridges like the 7x57 mouser and 30-06. curious what people...
woodleigh makes a 180 grain 270(.277") bullet that in what limited videos on it ive seen shoots decent in most 10-10 twist rifles just needs a max charge for accuracy.not to the main point has anyone used them in loading, and if so what did your accuracy look like and did you use them on game...
on paper the difference between hand-loaded 7mm rem mag and hand-loaded 270 Winchester is minimal. 270 with a 150 at 2900-3050 and the 7mm with a 160 at 2950~ of a 150 at 3050-3100~. so with that in mind what would you guys rather hunt with?
edit: the 270 180 grain bullets pushes them anywhere...
