Definitely a large crowd. A few sponsors were there. I took a few minutes to talk with Dawie Kemp of Kemp safaris. It’s definitely a two day show if you want to see everything.
I personally used a 41 magnum with a heavy lead bullet.
I’ve seen them taken with .243, 7-08, 44 mag, 308 and 30-06. All the rifle calibers were loaded with Nosler partitions. No excessive damage to the hide.
My first safari I worked minimum wage, cut grass, washed cars at only 19 (1989)
Over the years I never lived beyond my means, never kept up with the Jones and have traveled and hunt extensively.
It all what you want, a big house isn’t my cup of tea, hunting is.
It boils down to how bad you want...
I’ve been an outfitter in Wyoming and Texas the past 20+ years.
