POLL: Favorite Nosler Bullet For Hunting

that's why I'd like to try the hammer bullets there almost like a mono partition in a way, the front of the bullet the petals come off and do damage and the base stays together. I live in New York and think they will force us to use lead free soon.

POLL: Favorite Nosler Bullet For Hunting

I'll be using 175 partitions in my 7x57 ruger this year for deer, maybe overkill but a lost animal won't be from the bullet.

    Converting a P14 enfield

Lol at the time I had a nice 03 Springfield John van Patten bored out for me in 358 Norma mag. Something with 3006 and Me doesn't jive, I've killed tons of deer with 222'22-250 and 243 and never lost one animal. I still like shooting and loading the 06 just can't get my self to hunt with it anymore.

    Converting a P14 enfield

I regret not buying the last Remington model 30 I seen in person maybe 6-7 years ago, think it was $300 in 3006. I remember not buying it because the curse of the 3006 struck that year again. First time I lost what may have been a near 200 inch buck in Alabama, lost it for the stupidest reason...

    Converting a P14 enfield

I passed last weekend on a cut down us17 for $250 and I'm regretting it, in my head I said I've got to many unfinished projects and can't take on more. Plus I would of had to barrow some money to get it. Then I got home and thought about it, just the stock was cut everything was on the gun, I...

What Have You Killed with the 7x57

Shot dozens of deer the the 7x57 and the 7x57ai, never lost one and none made it more then 30 yards, most are drt. I used to really like the 140 Sierra pro hunter but they got to pricy for my liking. So now on the hunt for a do all adorable bullet, thinking the 145 Speer will do I've always...

Could slap a + .25 moa sticker on it like they do when they get a dent in there car and say it adds +5 hp. Lol

    Can this be repaired?

If the wood fibers aren't broken you maybe able to steam the dent out, looks to be a good size dent tho.

I'm waiting for Shaw to make more9.3x62 barrel they had the a month or so ago, I wanted to order one but to many bills then. Of course soon as I had the money they sold out. I'm waiting on a 6mm ARC ar-15 now.

    Bulging Brass

First I would try the 30 Gibbs reamer I have hehe, then rebarrel if that doesn't satisfy. I think that barrel is junk other then to use for say a 300 mag. Don't think the chamber would clean up even if the barrel was set back a few threads after a rebore. Don't want to have all that work done...

    .350 Remington Magnum anyone?

Lgs had 4 new in the box 673s one in each cartridge they made, the 308 sold. I'd I had the money I'd buy them, asking $900 each there probably worth that. I'd I could afford one not sure if I'd get the 6.5 or the 350, I've had both and like both tho I'm not the biggest fan of belts. Wish the...

    7x57 Ammunition

How's the new s&b 7x57 I never minded the ammo but the brass does not fit a normal shellholder so I don't use it. I like the ppu for the brass and tho the load is slow out to 250 if fine for deer. Believe the s&b ammo is loaded a bit hotter, I may try some since there's a bunch local and I'm...

Tire Kicking For A Mannlicher Stocked Rifle

Anyone get a mannlicher/full stock from Richards micro fits, after my 9.3x62 build I'd Like to do a full stock. I'm sure it's a bit of work to shape the tip and finding a muzzle cap maybe a pain. Not sure what cartridge to do the full stock in yet. Tho it's not to early to make my 9.3 a full stock.

For Sale Sauer 100 9.3x62 Plus Components

The bolt knob is actually pretty nice when it's really cold, tho wish companies would just make the knob screw on so you can choose what you like best. The m18 looks to be almost riveted on, I've not looked at the sauers.

I regret not buying the new Browning blr a shop had a few years ago, as always money was tight otherwise it would have been brought home. And off course it was a stainless takedown in 358win. Unfortunately I have many similar tales.

I'm in ny but very close to pa, so ya same drive. But to Florida would be much easier and cheaper then Texas. I like blinds so long there's a good seat, I like Coolers good seat and can hold some food and drinks lol. Not a fan of tree stands, I can climb them but don't trust many.

My buddy lives in Hawaii so id go there for them, the pigs are juice on his side and there the nice goats and rams. Plus there are Pharaoh cows you can shot, paying to bring 100lbs back may not cost to much either.

    Less Bearing Surface

There the only mono I think I'd like, I like how they shed there Peddles but the back of the bullet will exit the animal. I plan on trying some monos cuz I just know ny will come up with some bs and make them mandatory for hunting here.

    25-06 Mauser 98 Restocking Project

Of you think it is touching the wood where the recoil lug is then you should be fine, you can hold the gun vertical when tightening the action screws to help hold the lug to the wood. You could use a aluminum shim where the recoil lug hits to take up any extra space. Make from a soda can...

    Rough Camping & Survival Tips

Ray mears had some interesting shows, tho never seen them on tv just yt. The 8th of alone seemed lacking, just something about it. To many rules like can't hunt squirrel and couldn't have a bill net until day 45 of I remember. Seemed like they could have been doing more then what was shown.

    25-06 Mauser 98 Restocking Project

Depends how the stock fits, if the tang is touching wood land the recoil lug is not tight it can crack the stock at the tang. You can put some playdough or clay in the lug and tang to check the fit. Even a little bit of jb weld spot bedded will do until you can bed it properly. will think of a...
