Mostly roll my own...but if in need of factory loads... Soft - Swift factory loads with A-Frames is 1st choice. If not available in a caliber I need I go with either Norma loaded with Oryx or Nosler loaded with Partitions. Solid - Federal loaded with Sledgehammer. just my 2 cents

That is quite correct, and I have a Pre64 Model 70 in .300 H&H. The Model 70 Alaskan I converted from .375 H&H is a newer production made for Winchester by FN in Columbia, SC.

Few years ago bought a Model 70 Winchester Alaskan in .375 H&H. Had my gunsmith re-barrel it to .300 H&H. Is a bit heavy but shoots like a dream. Run 200 Grain Swift A-Frames down its 26in barrel. It does the trick.

Go and have a great time. As some of the above posters have stated...stay in contact with your outfitter. I will be leaving the first week of May 2019 for RSA myself. My outfitter reports there is nothing to be concerned about at this time and for the foreseeable future.
