Terminator, I think you are correct with your line of reasoning. @Christian Davis I did just weigh it and it came out to 8.8 pounds, however I did not weigh the rifle before, so I do not have a great starting point, only what Winchester says it would weigh.

Mark, FWIW I reload 500-416, Hornady cases with Woodleigh softs and solids.. I use a RCBS Rebel press with CH4D dies and shell holder and have no issues with fit.

@Hunt anything, Thanks! Actually talking to Splitting Image taxidermy now. Looking at getting a full body of the leopard either attacking or standing over a fresh kill of the bush pig. The ideas they have sent thus far have been really great.
