I just got a new puppy :)
She is a Swedish White Elkhound and I have given her the name Tikka.
I am looking forward to many days in the woods with her and I hope she will make me proud :)
I hope everybody involved will get punished.
I really don't understand why some trophy collectors want to do this.

I got an urge to buy a new gun again.
I have been looking at the new Tikka T3 CTR that comes in 260 Rem and 308 Win.
It has a detachable 10-shot steel magazine and the muzzle is factory threaded for a silencer if you want to use that.
Would be a great gun for driven boars and/or culling :)
Just wanted to share 2 hunts I had with my kids in Sweden this year.
My kids are a 7 year old boy, Hans and a 4 year old girl, Sofie.
On the first hunt I went with my boy only while my daughter stayed with my sister.
We hunted Roe bucks for a few days and we didn't do to bad :)
On the...
I went to the shooting range yesterday to chrono my 6.5-06 reloads with the 120 grains Barnes TTSX bullet.
I reloaded the ammo last year and used it last autumn when hunting Fallow deer and Roe deer with great results.
The precision is great with 3 shot groups under 1/2" at 100 meters.
The...
Today I start my trip to bowhunt with KMG Hunting Safaris :)
I drive to my sister today to drop my kids off.
They will go with my mother, my sister and my sisters two daughters on a 2 week long vacation in Crete while I will enjoy myself stalking PG with my bow for 2 weeks in Eastern Cape:D...
Since I am going to SA next year to spot and stalk hunt with my bow, I would like some input on what animals that are at high risk of being string jumpers.
Is any of them so skittish that you always should aim very low or even under their chest when hunting them with a bow?
I am confident...
I just got the crate with my trophies today and opened it with great expectations.
I got really disappointed when I wrapped out the European mounts and skins.
I really hope this not how taxidermy work is usually done in SA.
I had one Kudu skin, one Oryx skin and one Black Wildebeest tail...
Yesterday I got a package from Slick Trick containing 6 175grain Xbow Trick broadheads and 6 175grain field points.
They use the same blades as my 125 grain Slick Trick Magnums and they look really good.
I like the fact that they have a longer point than the 125 grain before the blades.
I...
It is one thing that has puzzled me for some time and that is the trophy fees for Waterbucks at all places.
To me it seems high to very high compared with many other species.
Are there in general so few of them and that is the reason for the rather high fee?
Or are they such a popular trophy...
I was asked to write a report on my hunting trip in South Africa this year, but since I am not a good writer(usually becomes very boring), I will mostly just put in some pics:)
I went to hunt at Gers Safaris/Klein Papkuil and I really enjoyed my stay and hunt with them.
Very nice people and the...
Hi all
I am 44 years old and I am a huntaholic.
Both my grandfathers were hunting and also both my father and mother.
I got their passion for hunting combined times 1000.
I hunt everything legal with shotgun, rifle and bow.
I went to SA this year for some PG. I shot 5 with a 30-06 and...
