Here's my stalkers started with the 275 and added a 9.3. Have enjoyed hunting with both. Upgraded wood on the 9.3 by previous owner, when he purchased it. Didn't like the factory turn in mounts so now has quick detach leupolds. They are good to carry and handle well. Carrying a HS its a good...

    Woodleigh Hydro for buffalo?

My go to for water buff as well. Especially in small calibres. I generally drop to a lighter weight and push them hard. Ie 308 150 gr works better than the 180. Ive recovered a few hydros from length way shots. with my doubles I run a hydro in the left barrel and a all copper , TSX ACP in the...

    Is a Rigby worth it?

Definitely worth the money. I haven't looked back after my purchase of a 275, highland stalker and later a 9.3. Plenty of trips and good memories , even the days when nothing was taken. Its good to be carrying a Rigby. I still use several other rifles of different makes and calibre, and enjoy...

    Bullet weight for 9.3x62

The woodleighs are consistent but don't get the penetration of the barnes or the ACP's. ACP's lose there petals but work well on buff. The TSX is the most consistent and reliable. The one in the pic that hasn't opened was a second shot at 140m , My first bull with the 93x74. First shot at 70m...

    Bullet weight for 9.3x62

I run the 250 gr TSX out of my 93x62 They work great on buff. A bit hard and over kill on most other game. Even scrubbers even though they kill well. The woodleigh 232's are a very versatile pill and are going to be my all round medium game pill when I run out of 190 gr ACP's These have proven...

The 243 Winchester for Australian Game

Im a fan of the 243 , have had several one is on its third barrel. The failings of the cal come from factory ammo designed for varmints.
