I bought a Ridgeline in 300 WM about 2 years ago. Just got around to working a load up for it a few weeks ago. I’m using 165 Sierra tipped game king or maybe it’s game changer. They aren’t super hot, but they are near max. Getting about 3200 fps. I have not had any problems with a sticky bolt...

Cleaning helped quite a bit. The average variation is about 20-30 fps. Out of 20 rounds I had one in the right that was 60 fps higher right vs left but I think that was the ammo.
Your competency level and experience in reloading is the deciding factor IMO. I would not suggest a beginner reload for a dangerous game hunt. you must have the proper equipment and practice with your reloads. I would not be comfortable hunting dangerous game with my reloads if I did not have a...
Thanks for the all the insights! I need to spend A little more time at the range verifying the variation. I only fired 8 rounds my last outing but it was 54,56,60 and 61 fps more out of left barrel vs right. I’m going to give it a good cleaning as rookhawk suggests and put some more rounds...
I am hoping to develop a load using available components. I haven’t seen any TBBC for sale in 470. Appreciate the advice and I will document the superior load the best I can. I hope to develop a load that gets both barrels in that 2050-2100 range. I’ve purchased several options to begin with and...
Curious what you guys are getting in velocity difference right vs left barrel. I bought a Marcel Thys 470 NE and am just getting started with Load development. The ammo that came with the rifle was loaded by Superior but other than bullet type it has no load data. It Shoots about 4” low and an 1...

Selling off a few to fund an upcoming hunt.
Bought this at auction a few years ago. I believe it’s unfired. It has a couple Blemishes on the mag plate and the recoil pad shows some age. Looks like it may have set in a rack or safe For a long time. The rest of the rifle is like new.
$1700...
I’ve used the apple air tags on my last couple of trips. It’s reassuring to see your bags are with you. Especially when making connections. ive noticed a delay after landing before the location is updated. i assume they don’t update while loaded inside the plane.

I’ve got an 8x8. Don’t use it every year, but has been the only way to get to some of my hunting ground when the river is up. I have a 10hp merc on the back. The 8x8 with the larger tires is the way to go if you’re going to be using as a boat much. It’s not a great boat, but is the best way to...
@TROPHY SHIPPERS has done a good job for me. I started with Tom Kelly. His replacement last name Schwartzentruber has been on top of it since he took over.
Both are great calibers. I love my Ruger Alaskan. As mentioned it is hard to beat for wet and rough conditions. As a reloader I would go with the H&H. Brass is much easier to source for it vs the Ruger. Ruger brass has not been available as a component in over 3 years.
I flew Ethiopian Business class in 21. Flew from Chicago/Addis Ababa/Beira. i thought it was very nice. Checkin at Chicago (with firearm) was smoother than most domestic airlines. The lay flat seating was very comfortable. From what I remember food was just average. Service was much better than...
