In all honesty I give less than a yellow shit about a watch but this thread Is extremely interesting to me. I'm really enjoying all the info. Kudos to the gentleman that started it and those who participate. Fascinating really to a non watch wearer.
Two of my customers drove both their moose back last fall from newfoundland. Both were in chest freezers, capes, antlers strapped across the freezeres. No problem at all.
The outfit I hunt with in Argentina recommends staying an extra day entering and leaving if bringing a rifle. I rent one while hunting. So far have been mauser action rifles with very high end glass.
Tail and jowls will be ok if u trim any and all fat and connective off and cut up correctly. If an aggressive or breeding specimen then may need to run through a cuber, the legs ribs etc, go online and check out a sauce piquant recipe or message me for one. I worked for a nuisance trapper/...
I had no problem importing mine in. Killed a large male while watching a shallow area on the limpopo River and it just appeared. Seemingly out of nowhere. Really neat and beautiful animals.
Bourbon. Screw the pharmaceuticals, enjoy the trip, read ruark, watch YouTube videos of where u hunt, live it up, take a day or 2 off when u return, u can recover as needed after the hunt
ive been looking at having one built for a while now myself but lack of supply hindering that. ill go back thru my researching and message you but i found brass somewhat recently. Only issue was it $130 plus shipping for 20 pieces of brass
oh my ive seen waaaayyyy worse in garages here that serve the public.
the ambiance in that wonderful trophy room would be improved with my bald head perched upon one of the barstools, or couch perhaps.
I run them in my .260. Extremely accurate. Not very impressed with them on deer. Seems like I've had to utilize follow up shots more since using them. Switching to accubond for next fall
Shortly after I joined this wonderful site I had several fantastic conversations with major khan about hunting as several of my older customers hunted India before I was born, just an absolute gentleman and wealth of Information the same as hunter Habib, really a loss occurred here and thanks...
yes. twice. once partially intoxicated at duck camp then again sober at my aunt-in-law house (who is one of the best cooks on earth). Both attempts at ingesting that gruel were impossiblities. I eat organs no problem but not in that manner. Hell chitlins taste and smell better.
Of all the shit I've read in this inglorious site this is the one I just can't let go. There are so many questions I just do not want answered for my mental health. You sir are a legend in my eyes
I hunted groundhogs and coyotes here locally with my then-new .375 h and h magnum to get it broke in and accustomed to it. Yes they were all one shot kills. Now I have a new title I suppose.
"Dark continent", through decades of use has an air of romance, danger, curiosity. No hint of racism or bigotry at all. After several hunts there I actually grin some when I'm reading a safari book that uses the refrain dark continent. No idea what the offense is
In total agreement. On deer size game traditional cup and core sierra pro hunter bullets seem to have predictable devastating results. Above deer I jump to barnes, CEB, and now accubond
