Rhodesia/Zimbabwe Loses A Bit More History & Tradition

I can certainly attest that most of today's youth has lost the true meaning of adventure. Adventure for them is limited to sky diving ,rock climbing etc. For me adventure would have been roaming in the jungles with a nice sxs dbbl gun just like my father and grandfather used to do. I am happy...

I could not find the article. But there has been an arrest in Rajasthan in April of four people who poached Chinkara . I heard an unconfirmed news of killing of 24 wild boars using poison . I could not pursue the credibility of the information due to the lockdown.

    A Close Shave

I would really love to explain it to others. But the moment any word on hunting came out of my mouth people mocked me. In my school when I narrated this story to a classmate he made fun of me and my father. I vowed never to share any story with anyone. But on going through this forum I realised...

Yes ,Sir I live in India. To be honest, after the ban on hunting in 1972 whole two generations have grown up not knowing much about it except the tales heard from their fathers and forefathers. Much of the good old tales have been lost in time. The youth does not want to talk about it because...

With all due respect ,Sir , I do not have any anti-hunting sentiments. I see it as a conservation method. The tales of my father and grandfather just excited me about the joyful times they lived in .One cannot blame the hunters for the extinction or decline of species. Industrialization has...

Sir,you are right in stating that these things do not deserve to be called shotguns. Even after so many years they are unable to produce a quality firearm. Leopard Hunting In The Syedabaad Tea Estate : How I Got Started

Nice reminiscence and very nicely presented,Sir. For others, the used shell is just an empty but for you filled with memories. However, I have one doubt . Does not the word "Shingho" means lion in English ? If it is and I am sure it does, the good old man was not wrong in describing you as a "LION".
