i agree the recoil is stout i started out with 79grains of ar2208 (like varget) in mine and stepped up to 81grains... cant tell the difference both really hit hard, more so then factory 458winmag

for what its worth my cz550 safari 458winmag would feed and chamber 458 lott from the factory... the bolt wouldnt quite close though from memory or it was tight... from what i gather my gun smith just had to run a 458lott reamer into the chamber...not much work at all. for what it was factory...

I ran my 458 bolt in it there was an improvement for sure, the bolt body diameter was the same, how ever... think the Mark's u see are just wear Mark's... rather then dremal or something the issue with a new bolt is head space and the fact they are like $700aud plus gun smithing to make it...

well the good news is i found one on the 2nd hand market, which is uncommon to say the least. factory cz550 safari .505 Gibbs - Stoked ! came with dies, 80 cases shell holder, couple of boxes of 525 soft points and the cz factory box and wrapping. Very nicely put together rifle, much better...

Building a .505 gibbs on a cz550 action at the moment and was wondering if anyone had used a .510 barrel? any issues? seems like projectiles would be easier to find as is the barrel in the first place.
