I have a "Mannlicher style" CZ 550 FS as well (from the first decade of the 2000s), and mine has a 3 position safety from the factory. From what I read, only the 550 FS versions had the 3 position safety. Does yours only have two positions??

Indeed! This is with the open sights at 50 yards.

My Mannlicher style CZ 527 has some half decent walnut. Not the best, but not bad for a factory rifle...

My H&R 12ga. For some reason they decided to attach this awesome looking fiddleback maple stock on it at the factory. I wish they would have made and attached a matching fore end too...

It's not a Savage, but this 22/410 Chiappa double badger serves the same function. I've taken a number of grouse and snowshoe hares with it. They truly are a handy utility/survival gun.

That's a good buy. They are quite valuable over here in the states and have become a sought after collectable. I've seen several going for $430-500 plus depending on the configuration and condition at the last gun show I attended this spring.

Try steaming your claw marks out with a wet cloth and a clothes iron.

Buck 102 Woodsman. A great small field knife. If you know how to run a blade it's pretty much all you need for a hunting knife.
