Most of my standard rifles run 13.5-14” lop. I see many big bores at 14 +. I’m a tall guy at 6’3”. How do I know what lop is right? 14” on my AR seems long. 13.5” on my Ruger 6.5x55 is ok. On a DG Rifle, should I be looking 13.5” range or longer like 14+? I plan on not using a scope.

Who makes a hunting rifle in the classic style for under $4000? You know....walnut stock, classic action(98 Mauser, Win M70, 1917, CZ, etc), barrel sights, barrel band front stud, rear inlet stud, etc More important would be the flawless feeding and stock fitting.

How common is a second barrel mounted recoil lug? Is it a CZ only idea, or common on DG bolt rifles? Has good pillar bedding basically eliminated the need for this?

What is the deal with these? I read some negative comments but don’t understand what is wrong....seems to apply to solids and softs. I’m sure there are better, but the Hornady price is right. I don’t hear the same things said about their ammo, but it surely uses the same bullets.

Why doesn’t CZ make the 550 American Safari Magnum with a barrel band sling stud, 3 position safety and a single stage standard trigger? They would sell millions!

So, I’m about to embark on reloading 458 Lott. I think I’m basically ready, except case trimming. I have a L.E.Wilson case trimmer...do they make a Lott case holder? Can I use the Win Mag case holder? If not this, what setup do I need to trim at a reasonable cost?
