    .416 Rigby & .458 Lott - Equal Recoil?

Nobody seems to know for sure? I do know, heavier projectiles TEND to create more FELT recoil in a given cartridge. ALTHOUGH, a factory 450gr. Barnes TSX in my CZ .458WM FEELS "snappier" than a factory 500gr. Nosler Partition in my CZ Lott? Barnes loaded hotter than the Partition? Who knows? I...

    .416 Rigby & .458 Lott - Equal Recoil?

Reloaded 400gr. Barnes originals under 70.5gr. RL15 in the Taylor versus FACTORY Hornady 400gr. DGS in the Rigby. I haven't reloaded for the Rigby yet. I need to BUY some TIME somewhere. LOL The Barnes are probably loaded hotter but the rifle weighs 2lbs. more also? That's only a medium load in...

    Remington core lokt

Well, the V Max IS a varmint bullet and probably a prairie dog sized varmint designed bullet anyway? I've only used them in my .22-250 on prairie dogs and they do well. HOWEVER, due to extenuating circumstances, the first African game animal I shot was a cull impala with my PH's well worn Howa...

    .416 Rigby & .458 Lott - Equal Recoil?

My Taylor is TAME in an 8.5lb unscoped Whitworth compared to my scoped CZ 10.5lb Rigby? Go figure? I think it's the massive powder charge in the Rigby, but I don't really know?

I’ve actually shot all of my elk here with my Browning A Bolt .338WM with 225gr. Core Lokts. Until I became an AH member a few years ago and started reading all the bullet threads, I didn’t know the Core Lokts don’t work on game. Especially in Africa. I should have known better. LOL

    African Huntin Boots

I saw that too on my one African hunt. Different PHs all had different boots. My PH was a young guy and wore 6" zip up boots and shorts. No gaiters. Functional. That's probably what he could afford as the same for MOST of us. I wore a pair of Vasque hiking boots that I already had with 5-11...

Average Shot Range in East Cape SA

+1. I've taken one pronghorn here with my .270 at about 250yds and one elk at about 150 yds with my .338. Everything else has been much closer and ALL just using my sling as support and a couple of times on my knees and/or sitting. On my one African PG Safari, I took an impala at a confirmed...

Awe, get a dirt bike Ontario and ride the trails and be somebody. You only have to go as fast as you want, you won't hit a deer and won't get run over by a car. I have a 2003 Yamaha TTR 250 that I still enjoy riding on the forest trails. I see a lot of wildlife too when riding.

ABSOLUTELY agree with you. ALL of our, EU and seized funds need to go into specific accounts for Ukranian MILITARY purposes and under strict accountability and audit protocols. Actually, a good portion of the seized funds should go to the countries manufacturing the weapons of war for Ukraine...

Yes. Soldiers throughout the world fought (and still fight) and many died to rid the World of tyranny so we may live in peace and prosper.
