Another place for those sort of bargains, at least here in Australia, is the re-cycle shop at the local tip, rubbish dump, whatever name you go by...people throw out some unbelievable stuff. Roger

The M38 and M96's are excellent rifles, even with the original barrels. I have three 96's in various forms, one of which is the improved version, original stepped barrel and cut down military stock...shoots minute of 'roo all day long with 129 Hornady interlocks. Roger

I'm building a 416 Taylor on an M17 action and re-stocking my 9.3 P14 so I'm looking for some inspiration for my stock designs ......so how about some pics of your 14's/17's. Doesn't matter what calibre, I'm looking for shape ideas, one has the dogleg floorplate and the other one straightened...

I thought the 38-55 case might be a bit small.....Bertram make 360 brass, but if its rimless, would 9.3x57 brass be easier?

I assume that if you are using 38-55 brass, you are turning the rims off to make them rimless. Roger

Flipper, that is a beautiful rifle ! I would love to see some more pics of it. I've had numerous Enfields over the years...starting with a 303-270, 25-06, 308 Norma mag, 300 Win mag and I built a P14 in 9.3x74R ( hell of a lot of work ) and now building a 416 Taylor on an m17 action Roger

Thanks Chris, once again this was a prototype, I use some of my older leather pieces for these in case I f#$@ up:rolleyes: The knife is quite secure and its surprisingly comfortable to wear even when sitting in a vehicle. Roger

Yep, been there, done that! I always leave a hole in the end of my sheaths and holsters....I find the original sheath good for fishing but noisy when hunting. Roger .....I actually wrote this earlier but forgot to press " send "....

I made a sheath for the el cheapo Mora knife, I used an old piece of leather as it was a bit of a test run mainly to see if my template was correct, I made a few mistakes that can be fixed in later models. .....also made some keyrings and fridge magnets.... Roger
