Capnjackv, others can chime in, but I suspect most reputable outfits and PH ‘s have no pblm with you only hunting a buffalo , as long as you tell them upfront that is all you want to shoot and pay for. They would always like to have you shoot more, but the good ones will never pressure you to do...

You can always tell your PH your budget and he will keep track of approx $ you have available as things are harvested. Better trust your ph .

They will make a man of you carrying it around in the bush ! 416 in that gun , what a classic Safari gun , beautiful and functional!

When we shot the zebra , the tracker saw a group of 3 feeding, we were able to park the truck with a tree between us and them ( about 1000 yds away) we slowly began making a stalk in thigh to waist high grass , stopping anytime they lifted their heads. We just stayed patient and kept slowly...

Thanks for the replies. I was able to shoot my blsesbuck and black wildebeest on the same stalk. We used some tall grass to get about 75 yds from a rock , then it was the old butt crawl for 75 yds. Me, ph and tracker were able to make it to the rock to get set up for a shot at some wildebeest...

Absolutely. I used riflepermits.com , they are great. I think they need all info at least 30 days prior to get a pre approved application. You have plenty of time. You can also show up with all the paperwork and get a permit then , just takes longer.
