My name is_______ and I have a problem

Any Rigby would be awesome. I will endorse the R8 as well. My wife calls it the Pandora bracelet of guns. You buy one and have fun continually buying new ”charms” to add to it.

Blaser ideal Africa 2 barrel set

I’d be aware that while having a spare 22 mm forearm as Hunting Hitman earlier suggested is a great idea, they are nearly impossible to find now. Blaser USA informed me last summer that a separate forearm is no longer available from them. I asked for a custom order and was turned down. Too many...

    Site Slowing Down?

For what it is worth, things seem to have sped up exponentially since I was viewing earlier today. I hope the planned changes go well and whatever has changed since this morning keeps us using the site at the speed we were used to. Thanks for the efforts.

    Hanging a zebra rug suggestions...

I believe if you zoom in on the plywood pic, you can see the rows of screws from the top edge going down. I put a few pieces of 1x4, cut down to 2” wide behind it and screwed them from the front. They also made a nice anchor for the picture hanger wire.

    Hanging a zebra rug suggestions...

Here is mine. 2 sheets of 3/8” plywood spliced together, cut to shape with a jigsaw. All edges spraypainted black, then upholstery tacks to fasten the skin. Heavy picture hanging wire attached in 2 places. I only need 1 hole in the wall for a fastener, and can change the angle it hangs at...

    Megabass Pagani Trad

I can only find limited info on them online. Maybe a JDM only product? Definately a throwback, nostalgia product in my opinion. I can say with confidence though, if Megabass is putting their name on it, the quality and engineering will be top notch. I am personally a Diawa and Shimano guy, but...

@RBurg44 Nice report on our hunts down there. You have done a awesome job so far in researching, planning and booking hunts for our Slam. This one really does deserve a lot of credit. There were a LOT of moving parts with 6 guys at 2 different outfitters each day, and 3 outfitters on the one day...

Wanted Blaser R8 17 mm Forend

I had talked to Cove Creek and Blaser USA, and I believe my brother had talked to Mad Dog. We were told forends were not available separately, you had to get a stock set. I thought I had read on AH of guys having aquired them in the past. Blaser USA said that even on a warranty case, if you had...

Wanted Blaser R8 17 mm Forend

Thanks for the offer DB. We already resolved the situation however. I had promised to buy my brother the barrel he wanted and get him a 17mm forend that was close to his buttstock in return for the 458 Win Mag barrel that came on his gun and his forend with the 22mm forend. When I realized you...

Wanted Blaser R8 17 mm Forend

I guess I did realize I was in search of unicorn feathers. How about a jaeger stock set? Butt stock and forend with 17 mm channel for standard taper barrel.

Wanted Blaser R8 17 mm Forend

I am looking to see who might have a Jaeger forend with a 17mm barrel channel they’d be willing to part with. My brother and I have R8s, and his has a 22 mm forend for a match contour barrel. He is looking to purchase a separate 17 mm forend with a wood shade hopefully similar to his buttstock.

    Opening day Dove 2019

Hey @RBurg44. just saw you posted this. Glad you had fun. It was about time you proved you can shot something smaller than geese or deer. My wife does a slight variation on the doves, with a slice of raw jalapeño in the middle, and either the cream cheese or or a piece of cheddar with it, of...

    Gun control???

I'm not sure a ban is in order for someone expressing their opinions, but perhaps once again a moderator can step into this thread, which falls under Humerous Jokes, Pictures or Stories, and move the comments not related to that into a more appropriate category. I understand that has been done...

    My trophy/mancave/bar room

Charlie, I've been deer hunting with him a bit, and he definitely makes an effort to show you a nice buck, even if it's laying on the ground in front of his stand! I am the guy he calls when he's gotten one and has no knife. And having seen the game room many a time, I can attest that those...

That is correct Bill. Gwen and I are definitely planning on a return trip, as well as Ryan and his wife. Been spending record time in the trees this fall waiting on a wallhanger whitetail, but all the while thinking of building some heavier high foc arrows for my next trip with Pieter and staff.

Jonathon, Glad you enjoyed reading it. If your considering Paw Print, I am a obvious supporter of that idea. We harvested some very good trophies for the area, and were made to feel like family. For another perspective, rburg44 was there with my wife and I for the whole trip. He had one heck of...

New US Customs policy pertaining to bows & arrows for hunting

I just came back from South Africa into Dulles Airport in VA 3 weeks ago. I had my bow, rifle, arrows and shooting sticks in a 4 gun case. Customs looked at the rifle, but not the arrows in their tube or the bow, which I told them was on the bottom of the case. I guess it depends on where you...

Day 9- looking for a good kudu is the focus. Ryan had gotten a giant earlier in the week, measuring over 59". I had no allusions of doing that well, but hope we'd run across a good one.
