Congrats!!! Get out there and put her to work. If it shoots even half as nice as it looks you'll be ready to roll but it's a Heym so I know it will shoot fantastic.
Phil, I do exactly as you have done. The foam in my case is cut to firmly hold the broke down double and all one has to do is open the case and both serial numbers can clearly be seen in a few seconds. Easy in and easy out.
@TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS. Can line you out in Moz, Zim and South Africa.
Wonderful family that has some excellent areas for buff.
Would be worth reaching out to them and seeing if they have availability.
If someone has a lead on a Winchester 37A in 20ga please reach out. I'm looking to pick one up for when my nephew comes to visit.
I know there are lots of youth options out there, I'm only concerned with a 37A.
Safe travels and straight shooting to everyone this year!
Great do-all DG rifle for Africa.
Regarding the barrel porting. Are you saying you had the porting done on the factory barrel or the factory did the porting?
When we lived in Alaska I had a great spot for blackbear hunting. There was an old makeshift wood cabin/hut that provided just enough shelter to provide a dry spot to sleep at night.
I flew in (drop off) on a Friday after work and packed to the cabin for the night. Once I had my bedroll...
Last few vehicles have been GMC's. Finally traded out my '18 Sierra crew for a '24 AT4 6.2. Got a great value on the trade in. The new models are stickered too high but if paying cash at the end of year there are deals to be made.
A few pictures from the get together. Hope everyone had a good time. Was great seeing some of the longtime AH members again and meet some of the newer members!
Folks,
The street infront of Johnathans is tore to hell. For those driving, there is a Pay to Park down 3rd st by the apartments and 50yards from Johnathans. Come down Harrison Street
I'm sure you have already tried this but I've had a few that took a pretty good wrap from your palm under the barrel right in front of the stock to get it seperated. Hope it works out either way.
Quick Update:
1. Just spoke to the restaurant manager, all is set and they are looking forward to hosting our event again this year.
2. There will be name tags and markers once you enter the dining room upstairs. Always nice to put a face/name to the AH screen name.
Weather is looking good...
What a wonderful gift! I would have loved to get my dad over to hunt but just couldn't get him on a plane for that long.
I hope yall cherish every minute of the hunt with him as he is in for a real treat!
Retired after 22yrs of active duty and have been a fiber/copper splicer & construction lineman since. Don't have to work but don't have a valid reason not to, so will keep going till 62.
They have done several of our animals from a couple trips and have several more at their shop currently.
1. Excellent communication
2. Fair pricing
3. Good quality compared to others Ive used or seen in person.
4. IF there is any issue they make it right.
Beautiful rifle Craig, hope to see it in person in 2025. For whatever reason I got your FS thread and this one mixed up.
Hope you get the one sold and hold on to this one for a while
