I am struggling with open sights these days hence the exercise. Having to use reading glasses to see v and post clearly and have the target blurred. OK for playing with paper at range.
Will bin the pecar and scout scope idea and look out for a good 2nd hand 1-4x24 type scope.

Thinking of mounting a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 on my .375H&H for driven boar and deer.

My budget for a rifle that is not used very often is a major consideration.
I have been trying to get a C.O.L and have seated a bullet. Without going back out to measure it again it is well short [3.49 something] but the bolt will not close. Have not forced it. The dummy round is using brass fired in this rifle. Tried another dummy round I was given and same with bolt...
Nice. The problem with that is that Hodgdon powders will no longer be available in the UK. Apparently all users of American powders are going to die of horrible carcinogen caused deaths.

Well I have picked up my new rifle. For a rifle made in 1988 it is immaculate. I really believe the stated round count of 55.
I have four rounds and will test fire tomorrow and then get some brass and load a batch.

I have recently purchased a 602 in .375 H &H and am keen to find out date of manufacture. Is this possible from the serial number which is 14465.
