Hey everyone, I’m looking at booking a whitetail hunt for my wife as an early retirement present for putting up with all my deployments and stuff that comes along with the military life. The hunt would have to be in 2025 or 2026 when we get back the the states. We talked about doing an elk...
Well as most people know Uncle Sam told me I to move to England. So after being here for a few months I finally organized a hunt about an hour from me for fallow deer. It was 2 days the first day we did over 5 miles and the second day we did over 3 miles on foot. This will be the first times...

Well yesterday I finally got to go pick up my trophies. I want to thank @TROPHY SHIPPERS for helping me out get them here. It was a long and frustrating 2 years but they are finally here and hung. Please excuse the mess as I took these late last night when I finally got them all hung.
So I got the notification that my trophies from 2 years ago have finally arrived in America. This being my first shipment from Africa I was wondering what to expect with the crate and if the taxidermy normally comes with hangers or something like the noose system for hanging? Or are they just...
I hope this is ok to post. If not then I'm sorry and remove it please.

When @lil 2 sleepy was up here for his caribou hunt I jokingly threw out the idea that I may be going to kodiak this year to try to get blacktail and goats. He said just let me know and I'll meet you on the island. Well after a month of horrible planning and kicking it down the road it looks...
I am looking at taking my 2 kids (my son will be 7 next march and my daughter just turned 8) and my wife on a trip. This would be mine and my wifes second trip over but my kids first. I was thinking maybe one animal a piece for my wife and I and my kids a cull or 2 a piece since this will be...

Is it worth the money or not? It seems like if something happens there is nothing you can force on the airlines. So why do we pay for it? Is it worth paying for?
Has anyone ever had trouble with the export company getting the paperwork for the permit for taxidermy? My taxidermy is finished and just waiting for the paperwork for the export permit on my Black Wildebeest. However the company keeps saying that they have not recieved anything yet. (been...

So after the last caribou hunt my wife decided she didnt want to carry her .308 (it is heavy barrelled). She really preferred the weight of my remington 30 06 semi. So I have been wanting a .300 win mag and the hunt was on. I came close to buying browning new BAR MK III a couple of times but...

What's better for north American game? I have a hell of a deal on a 375 h&h browning. But part of me believes when I leave Alaska a 300 is a better gun? So for whitetail mule dear and elk what is better a 300 or a 375 and why?
What is everyone's opinion on the browning x bolt medallion in a 375 h&h? My wife forced me to go to a store that was having a huge sale to get some winter stuff for the kids. When I walked in I was looking at the guns and they had a brand new one on sale for 800 dollars. I have been playing...

So today has been an extremely slow day at work and most of my day was spent on here. I have enjoyed reading hunt reports and looking up random things. This lead me to a question. What would you do if you were on a farm seen a huge bull but was told you could not shoot that one even though it...
My wife and I just came back from our first hunt in Africa. We decided to get the zebra turned into a felted rug. She wants the head to be taxidermied like the picture attached. I am having mixed feelings about it. It has been capped to have it done like that but wouldnt take much effort to...

I have been trying to find a list of the animals that will require permits to come back in the states. When I look up the cites list it only gives the scientific name and when j search any animal by common name it says it can't be found.. how do you know what animals require special permits?
I am a member of another forum and on that forum we have a place for swapping hunts. What it basically is is someone invites you to hunt with them in their state be it public or private (this information should be shared) and in return you take them out. While there are no guarantees in...

The wife and I are going on our first safari next year with @Pawprint Safaris. I started my taxidermy search and I am thinking I am leaning to bullseye taxidermy in SA. Has anyone used them? Could you give me the good the bad and the ugly? You can PM me if you would like to keep it private.
My dad shot this monster of a hog this morning. He said he loomed out the window and seen him eating with the cows. Not going to get him mounted because he said it wasn't really hunting since he shot him while wearing flip flops and pajamas. Just as a size referencey dad is 6ft 1 6 ft 2.
