I've got 2 Vanguards (Howas), a .30-06 and a .257 Weatherby. Both are solid, good shooting rifles. I've got no experience with the Mossberg, but can recommend the Howa without reservation.

That's sexy, I really liked the old Ruger 77 and the Safari Magnum. Had a 77 in .338 but sold it. Not such a fan of the newer Ruger rifles unfortunately, but that's a good score right there!

I like Ammo To Go www.ammunitiontogo.com too. They seem to be a little cheaper on average than many, but their stock is a little wonky sometimes. You won't have as many choices as someone like Midway, that's for certain.

Generally agree with everyone else...about 9lbs field ready seems about right for a .375 H&H, but stock shape and fit have a lot to do with felt recoil too.
