I agree, I pay a good price for a hunt and in the list of 'included in the price' everything is there what I need. If the service and hunt is normal that's the price I pay for it. If the trackers and PH's are great, the cooking is exceptionally good or I have a better hunt then I expected I tip...

I never saw a vid of a one shot one kill bow hunt on big animals, did I miss em or am I right in thinking bowhunting is not suited for big animals ?

If a hunt is, let's say, USD 5000,- 2 on 1. This means 2 hunters and one PH, that I understand. But is it then USD 5000,- p/p ? And if a list of 5 animals is given for that package, does that mean that the two hunters each can shoot 5 animals or that the 2 hunters can shoot 5 animals together ?

I can imagine that some hunters just watch such an old, big tusker with respect and don't shoot it. There are a lot of big tuskers (but not that big) around to hunt...

I use 15 grains of Swiss 2 blackpowder in the 44-40, follwed by a wad and a 200 grain bullet, I like black powder shooting and only shoot it in my replica's. The smokeless powder I save for my 9mm Norinco (1911 clone). But thanks for the offer.

I take it you were shooting those out of a specialy made modern weapon, I shoot an Uberti Yellowboy in 44-40 (black powder) and they shoould be capable of shooting modern nitro powder too ... but I've seen a few were it got the metal part stredged and there was even one wich exploded in...

Isn't 45-70 a black powder cartidge ? Does that make any difference or is it just speed and bullet weight that counts ?

If you pay a hunting fee for an elephant, you kill it and then you are attacked by another elephant of the herd and out of self defense you are forced to kill this elephant too, do you have to pay for that elephant too?

I never hunted in Africa but when I read this topic I wondered about the deviding of the tips. First I think it is very strange to tip the PH as he often is the owner of the hunt and if I drink a beer in a pub I tip the bar tender but never the owner of the bar... Second I would tip the hunting...

The stupid guy probably died, his family is in shock and the lion (who already had a shitty life in that cage) was sort of shot by a 9mm handgun and died slowly and in a lot of pain ... nice going of this guy ...
