    Question on shoes

On my hunts in the Limpopo of RSA I've more my Tristed X Driving Mocs, they're super comfortable and the leather/rubber soles are very quiet to walk in. https://twistedx.com/collections/driving-mocs/products/mdm0003 I've since bought some Courteney's that I've wore on quite a few dove hunts...

    Brussel Sprouts recipes

As others have mentioned, they're great roasted. I like to cut into fourths, coat in olive oil, season with salt, pepper, garlic, roast at 425 for 20 minutes or so. Stir around half way thru. Some of the thin leaves will looked burn but that's the best ones! haha

Weirdest animal shot and what with?

I’ve been fortunate enough to harvest a lost of critters, but finally got one I’ve wanted for a long time last Thursday! This is the 4th “black” coyote I’ve seen, but killing one just never worked on until last week. Then got a regular one just a few minutes later.

    Kansas Pheasant Hunt Information

We've went with Kansas Creek Gamebirds out of Concordia, KS several times and have been so satisfied we make it a yearly trip. Highly recommend! Believe with 4 hunters, it's $360 per person per day They are released birds, but they're done right so I could care less. Kill all you can find...

ZIMBABWE: Hunting Opportunities With My Son

I just thought the PAC on wild pigs I do here in TX was exciting, having to do it on elephants/buffalo is on a completely different level! Glad you got to spend some quality time with your son. Those times are something I will always cherish getting to do with my dad. Praying this crazy...

    Muzzle Brake Use

Absolutely they do, they'll take a .308 Win recoil down to that of a .223 I almost exclusively hunt suppressed, for the obvious reason of hearing protection, but also for the reduced recoil, animals not being able to tell where the shots are coming from as easy, and you can hear if the shot was...

Why a .375 in North America?

No doubt! That exact scenario played out in my little town in 1929, circus elephant went nuts! haha If someone would've had a .375 in a truck somewhere the outcome may have been a little different.. https://www.texasobserver.org/corsicanas-killer-elephant/

Captive Lions For Sale At Safari Club International

    .22 Mag for Steenbok?

We took a .223 w/ 55gr soft points this last trip and it worked great on monkey, steenbok, honey badger, civet, jackal, genet.. Only one with any damage at all was the jackal because I hit a rib on the way out..

SOUTH AFRICA: Night Critters & Small Cats With Kemp African Safaris

Mort, take a look at thermal scopes as well. Here in Texas we night hunt a lot, and thermal has been an absolute game changer for us. It eliminates the need for an IR source and animals really pop, so much more so than with night visions. Especially units with 640 resolution. Pulsar is an...

    Are you prepared?

Mark-hunter in Texas the majority of deer hunting is done from blinds or stands of some sort, be it elevated box, ground, tree. The wife and I kill 100's of pigs a year at night using thermal scopes on AR style guns and use 2 and 3 legged shooting sticks exclusively for this, so shooting off...

    What Scope for .375 H&H??

I'm in the process of making this exact same decision right now. As of now I've decided on a Leupold VX3 2.5-8X36 I had sitting around, but I still may go to the VXR 2-7 to get the illuminated reticle. The illumination was sure nice on our last trip hunting the nocturnal critters. I've had...
