Well, it's obvious to us Outfitters... but not everyone knows how the donation process works. I am not a fan of it, but it's part of the industry, and I get that, I just dont agree with outrageous pricelists, and catching people who dont know any better.

Well SCI doesn't necessarily sponsor the auction, they are the beneficiaries. So outfitters donate a package to SCI, then SCI auctions the package. SCI keeps the proceeds, the hunter gets a hunt, and the outfitter hopefully gets new business... So here you can see who usually gets the short end...

Anytime, my candor usually gets me in trouble, but I have to speak my mind, and I am not gonna beat around the bush either. It's just how I am.

Sometimes we are forced to donate. SCI international Conventions requires a donation to exhibit at their show. Same goes for DSC, its just part of it.

I agree with you, and there is nothing wrong with getting a good deal, but $800 for a nyala and 7 days? - - that's not benefiting anyone. But that is also what is leading to these outfitters doing that with their prices. They know someone is going to buy that hunt.. even if it goes for $50, but...
