Serious question, how many of you would wear your Rolex or Omega, or GS doing farm work, changing oil, or anything along those lines where you know it’s going to get dirty or beat up. I’m genuinely curious about the beatings your watches have taken.
That works out to 1.4% of the population. Does this count early retirees? I’m not arguing your numbers, I’m asking because I’ve never cared to look into this.
Obviously not enough to attract workers. But it doesn’t really matter because it doesn’t look like they are hiring any way. I guess it’s easier to allot your manpower to your top selling lines, and blame society as the reason to ignore your more niche product all while padding the bottom line.
It’s all supply and demand. Same for you, if you don’t keep competitive with other outfitters, eventually your camp staffs loyalty will wear thin.
Funny enough, I can’t seem to find any sort of ads where swift is actually attempting to hire workers….
I’m not too sure how things work in AUS, it a quick search, I’m sure there’s more that I’m missing, shows a monthly support income on $860 a month if you’re considered employable, and $1099 if you’re deemed disabled in my province in Canada. I wouldn’t consider these a livable wage by any...
The fact is he says he can’t attract labour. People will will go where they’re valued which apparently Swift doesn’t seem care much about.
As a business owner, I have pulled employees from other companies with more appealing packages whether it be more money or a better appealing shift...
No idea, I just wanted to throw a figure out there regardless. I think the figure of people who are actually capable of holding down a job that are in the dole is pretty low.
All buddy had to say was “we are having trouble finding workers” and that’s a perfectly reasonable excuse. But instead he decided to take the easy route and blame everyone else.
It’s seems most people have jumped on the Garmin train.
The only reason I would recommend a magnetospeed is if having the smallest package is your number one concern.
The supply will always lag demand ( unless the marketing team has something to do with it), so that brings us back to my point of average hunters not caring. And to be honest, I don’t even have a valid argument for the average whitetail hunter as to why they should switch.
Once again 100% agree. So for 2k, a reliable action should be able to be produced and available to the working class if the market dictates a demand for it.
If you’re spending >10k on a custom build, by all means get the best.
I agree with everything you’re saying, and your basically proving my other point that the broader market really doesn’t give a rats ass about CRF (Personally I’m a fan).
A few years ago you could buy a new CZ550 action for $600, let’s say that $1000 in todays dollars if they were still being...
Or is it that the average consumer just doesn’t care. A new model 70 doesn’t really cost all that much, and how much of that price tag is paying for the Model 70 name itself.
There’s no reason someone can’t put out a CRF action in the white for a reasonable price, but if the market isn’t...
I keep hearing cost as the main reason CRF actions are being phased out. How much more can a ten dollar piece of spring steel and an extra cut to accommodate it cost? Same with a magnum action, does an extra 2.2 inches increase cost significantly?
Another thing to remember is that if you see them in X-reload, they won’t sell you any unless you’ve made a purchase in the last year. So it may be worthwhile to buy something from them now, while watching for when they have primers.
Nope, I’m not defending anyone’s action. But to think that any society is capable of a monumental cultural shift in a generation or less is a bit of a stretch.
I fully understand your frustration with what has happened to your beautiful country.
30 years is a generation, barely a blip on the radar. “What now” is the million dollar question. We can’t write blank checks, because that’s never made a problem go away. Coups to install white led governments? I don’t think that will fly too well. The majorities have to A) want a change...
High level? Because the keys were handed to groups of people who had traditionally never operated within such systems. Couple that with less educated people voting how they are told, as opposed to what’s in their best interests generally doesn’t lead to ideal outcomes.
Id say that thinking a culture can make the shift from hunter gatherer tribalism to a full functioning western style democracy in 100 years (only 20 of which they have had power) and there not to be hiccups along the way seems ambitious. There will always be a learning curve.
With that being...
^ This, and also the fact that African (Sub Saharan) self government is still in its infancy, and what are they in, their second maybe third, generation of education?
