Lions are the most controversial subject by far here in SA at the moment.
I understand the ideas and how they work but will wait for more info to be ale to give more clarity to this subject.
Any one out there care to advise a bit further.
@mistyron1 I arrived back home last night from your hunting area. The baits are hanging and the cats are busy moving ... Best of luck and enjoy your time up there
I shoot a Blaser S2 chambered in 470NE ... It is my PH Rifle i use everyday and it works really hard to say the least.
It is dragged through the bush in and out of dongas and gomos i have fallen in a rocky Kopje and broken my back sight, i shoot competitively with it and the list goes on and on...
After reading the book it made sense after meeting the man it worked time and again.
It really is irrelevant when you look at it like that 75 or 50 its personal preference.
Read the book and give me your idea it would be very interesting to hear you opinion.
So simple - Zero at the distance...
You can bank on more wild
Thats for sure
I have a little tradition in camp lately and it works nicely if anything to have a good laugh.
So i am not sure if the rest of the world has
Marmite and Bovril
They are both a sandwich spread (not going into more detail than that they taste great)...
To be honest i have not seen the results from plains game with the smaller .30 calibers or i cannot remember them. Too many to remember
If they preform the same as the bigger calibers that would be disappointing.
Hunting around the full moon ( i assume rifle hunting walk and stalk) is really not that big an issue for Plains game..
I would suggest move the hunt on an week either way to put your mind at ease if your worried about it.
In my opinion don't worry too much about it.

As my as my client rifle and second back up I have a 416 rem mag running Peregrine monolithics...
I will share a story.
Stalking a Cape Buffalo Herd we had walk some distance to get the wind in our faces.
My tracker was in the front and we were moving along quietly and undetected, our party was 4 people.
The Bush was very thick and it opened into small clearings about 5m X 5m every here and...
This is obviously a touchy subject Mark Sullivan is a pretty strong minded chap.
His books do explain much more than the movies.
I like the clip about handling double rifles pretty informative and useful.
There is something to be said about the community having the same feeling around Ethics...
Agreed 375 or 416 with solids would be your best best and then be used for the thick skined animals too.
Shot placement would be something to look at too.
They must surely be allowed.
We have guided many clients with them especially 45-70 they are real great rifles.
