I looked up the Great Alaska Women's show to see what it's about. After seeing some of the topics there's no way you could pay me enough money to go to that so I can see why it's free.

My youngest son came back with tick bite fever but is doing better now thanks to the antibiotics. The look on the nurse practitioner's face here in the small Midwestern town we live in was priceless when we explained that we had just come back from Africa and we thought he had tick bite fever.

You are right about that. That's way more than I spent in my entire life on scopes, binoculars, etc combined! Not ruling it out if I can afford it some day but the difference between that and a decent scope is airfare and then some.

This is why I was hesitant to even post a hunt report, even if I did leave out the name of the outfitter, because I was afraid that anything I said would be put under a microscope and misconstrued. Let me be clear, I don't feel I was ripped off in any way in regards to this.

I think hunting these will have to be done in period correct attire and weapons. Loincloths and spears.

I take my passport with me in a pocket just in case. I put it in a Loksak in case I get soaked in a heavy rain or dunked. Maybe I am just overly paranoid but anything that would be a real pain if I lost, which is really only just a few things, goes with me.
