Ya it's a nice combination caliber-rifle! With a very good scope (Swarovski z6i 1-6x24) that for drive hunt is perfect until 200 m.

Yes, my father still use it. Actually I preffer my 300 Wby, just in case I have to shoot also to Red Deer in the twilight, 'cos on the 300 Wby I have a zeiss 3-12x56 that is more luminous and permits to shoot also at 400 m with no so much light.

I used for long time a Sauer 80 in 6,5x68 S for roedeer hunt, after I start to use a 300 Wby that for the european big game gaves me the best result from 10 m to almost 400.
