Thanks for the kind words! My buddies and I would just practice shooting rocks off of sticks out in the desert. The biggest recommendation I have for anyone is know how to use your scope, and be able to find your target quickly by starting out on the lowest power, then adjusting to the highest.

I got my mounts back from Karoo Taxidermy. I got them temporarily hung up and am waiting for my trophy/man cave to be built. Very happy with how they turned out.

Jaco Prinsloo who was my PH in Africa now works there. If you hunt with him I guarantee you will have a great hunt.

My PH, Jaco Prinsloo and his wife Tanya when I went to SA last year, is now the lodge manager and resident PH at Frontier. He LOVES to hunt!!! My dad and him have become really good friends. Jaco is also a good long range shooter.

I just returned from SA a week ago, and of all the 30+ animals my Dad and friends took, my buddies Blesbok is the most unique. I knew it was special when my PH was asking the lodge manager about taking it himself. What do you all think of this Blesbok?

Hey I talked to that couple at Dulles Customs on Friday May 13th.

Personally I like it when the animal does not even know I'm there. You read reports and watch videos all the time where people are being spotted or winded by an animal, and then the person says "will have to go with plan B because they are on to us." Some reports you read guys are chasing game...

I like shooting off of these sticks. My dad got this idea from his PH in Africa. I can hit deer size rocks at 850yds shooting off these. I'll be using sticks like this in May.

All I'm wondering is why didn't Royal address the issue in private?

@hunthardsafaris I don't care that I don't have hundreds of post counts. If it is true what Loodt said, in my opinion Royal isn't a stand up member.

In this case the hunter has never, not once voiced his concern over whether he disputed the fact that he wounded the animal. So he comes on here to dispute it, so the whole world can see it. VERY odd!

Last time I went shooting I hit a deer sized rock, right where I was aiming at. 891 yards with my $750 Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50. Good enough for me!

Planning a trip here http://www.kikuyulodge.com/ in May of 2016. I will be going with my dad who has gone there twice in the last three years, and absolutely loves the place! This will be my first time in Africa. GREAT web sight! Will be doing a lot of reading.
