Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

Well my saga still continues....Seems that people dont really know their head from their ass and the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. If they want to enforce this they should have their shit together to make it run a bit smoother. Now they are claiming I have CITES animals in...

Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

Are all these still on the list??? We are gonna be using Advanced Fur in Vernon to tan anyway. Can we have crate shipped directlyto them from calgary and just have everything tanned once it arrives instead of dipped first then tanned? If so this might save us the whole redip cost..... Select...

Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

Well hopefully I can speak in person to Travis tomorow. My blood has been boiling since I found out at lunch. So unfair. Why do they make us dip in africa then?? Seriously should have went via US and paid to have stuff tanned at the approved Colorado taxidermist and we would have saved this...

Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

His name is Travis. I just want to know why he can reject based on someone elses past paperwork. Innocent until proven guilty? Shouldnt he have to prove my paperwork is fake if he is that confident? I should have some basis for a complaint if he tells my broker that he rejected on past stuff vs...

Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

Just found out the agent rejected it bc he had one fraudluant vet cert. so now he rejects all shipments for this reason. He apparently gets to make tge decision based on this rather than the actual condition of trophys. So pissed. I have a call in. This is bull. I paid alot of money to have...

Just had our trophies rejected by CFIA in Calgary

NO other details, our broker just phoned and told me. He said they are rejecting now everything regardless of how clean everything is....so off they go to be redipped. What a waste of money! Maybe you will get lucky and have someone pass it through!

Our stuff was just rejected in calgary. Shoot. For no other reason, other than everyone's shipments are getting rejected. Another added expense!

    Importing trophies into Canada

Probably right on the tax end of things at the border...which we would be paying either way I guess. Tanning in the states is a third of what I pay my taxidermist and their broker fees and the flights are way cheaper. So overall it will be cheaper for us to go this route. Just gotta make sure...

    Importing trophies into Canada

We are just in the process of having our trophys sent home. We live in canada, hired a broker and just received shipping cost from exporter in joburg. The fees we are paying ( provided there are no issues and everything goes smooth) are $1300 to broker plus a few hundred for custom fees. Then we...

Transporting Ammunition from Calgary to JoBurg

Does Ammo have to be in original box in the locked case? Or can it just be in the plastic sleeves? We reload our own, but have heard you have to have a factory box to bring it in.

    Frankfurt In Transit permit

I just found the previous post regarding this as well and someone mentioned we have to include a bow on there as well. We are travelling with a compound bow...Any suggestions as to what that category might be? Do I indicate how many arrows we are travelling with? and do those have to be in...

Great thankyou, no troubles once you sent it in? I am so worried I will have it rejected for something minor and have to start over. How long did it actually take to get back?
