Couple of thoughts... If he had stopped shooting after the first 2 shots, the bull would have likely kept on running and died in 5o yards or so. Easy to get caught up in the adrenaline rush and keep shooting while he's still on his feet, been there, done that myself. Easy to Monday morning...

This is a really long bullet, at this COL the bullet projects about 0.73" into the case and really eats up a lot case capacity. In this configuration the base of the bullet just barely touches the top of the powder column. H335 has proven to be an excellent powder for the 416 Ruger.
