Dont rule out Woodleigh Bullets when looking around. Their PPSN comes in both 270gn and 300gn. Great bullets that hit well above their weight.

I have the exact rifle you are talking about. Only hunted in Australia and I have absolutely no regrets, it is my favorite rifle. I would consider bedding the rifle. Off the bench I shoot through the same hole at 50m. (Handloads). Don't give it another thought, grab it.

We use those bullets all the time on water buffalo / banteng in northern Australia. I have not used them personally but the reviews are very good. Nobody has a bad thing to say about them. They would be my first choice for hunting the big bovines. Best of luck.
