    Brazilian Cavalry Carbine?

    Not really true, Awhile back I grabbed up a 1909 Argentine Cavalry Carbine in 7.65x53 Mauser (developed for Belgium in 1889). I liked the cartridge (150's @ 2700 fps & 180's @ 2500 fps) and the Carbines's handling characteristics so well, that I built another one, from a 1908 Brazilian action...

    Finally here, after all the weather delays from the eastern seaboard; Georgia,USA waited 3 weeks:rant: It's a 1909 Cavalry Carbine in 7.65x53, still need to clean cosmoline out of the action, and take some pics, also have an M24/47 that hasn't been shot yet, I picked that up last year before...

    405 Winchester ??

    Without any experience in the Big Bore world, where does the 405 Winchester fit in? Teddy used it back in the day! It was powerful enough back then, and more-so today with modern propellants and bullets?

    New to the Dream, not wanting to go after the DG, just the exotic "plains game" with the unusual horns. And any of those that eat well. I do have a buddy who wants a Cape Buffalo, and so the dream begins. My cartridge of choice would be 9.3x62 Mauser(cause I'm a whimp!) and his .375 H&H. Yeah...
