Last day leopard in Tanzania

I was in Rungwa in August 2022. Same experience, elephants and buffalo daily. Groups of elephants and some bulls but thin ivory. There aren’t hunted in the area I was in either.

I have used the 375 H&H with 300 grain Partitions for everything from Oribi up to Cape buffalo and leopard. Recovered bullets show great performance. I only shoot the Nosler Accubond or Partition in 300 grain for soft in the 375H&H both have never let me down all factory ammo not reload.

Someone book this! I was there in August for the second time in this area with Nathan. You will not regret it!

I am in Qatar Q Suite next Wednesday to Tanzania via Doha. I have flown this route before not a bad option compared to KLM’s Amsterdam layover.

I flew the Delta One ATL-JNB in July of 2019, yes you can lay flat besides that not worth the money. I have flown Qatars Q Suite and Lufthansa 1st Class. Lufthansa was better than Qatar however Qatar was good also.

I wish I was a talented writer because it was an adventure! Two different fly camps, Lion intruders, too many leopards on bait to feed! Nathan Askew’s Tanzania areas are as close to Roosevelt’s African Game Trails as you can get.

I brought a bottle of jack Daniel’s gold to Tanzania and told the bartender we weren’t opening it until we got the leopard. Well day 14 last sit we got the leopard and we’re drinking it by 10 am! Makes for a long day and an afternoon nap after the celebration!!!

I have a Merkel 140 in 375 H&H that is engaging the firing pin for the left barrel when you close the action. Looking for a gunsmith or a good reference. Thanks in advance.

Submission to approval on my import permit was roughly 6 months. Wyatt at Safari Specialty Importers says is about normal. He said he has seen them come back as quick as 3 months and as long as 9 but most come back around the 6 month mark. SSI did my paperwork online and submitted online. Good Luck!

Great cats! Anyone else that has been lucky enough to have hunted a leopard with Nathan can confirm he has a PhD in cats and it shows in his methodical methods.
