Hi. Not sure if this is the right forum, but this is a F. Doumoulin rifle i am thinking on. I asked a few months ago for any info, but none was forthcoming. I finally am able to post (badly) a few pic's. Anybody got any this. The seller is looking for $1900 US. It is a 458 win mag custom build.

I seen it in the theatre when it was first released, and a few times since. I thot Henry Fonda's cranky old tough as nails bastard was perfect. I liked One Flew Over the Cuckoo's as well, but i think Some Times a Great Notion adapted better as a movie.

That would be the big question. Taxes and shipping bring the total to +/- $3800cdn. Just have to decide whether i want to toss the dice or not.

Nice enough looking reels, but subject to mixed reviews. How do they compare to Avet reels. They seem about one half the price. Tuna in the pic's don't look like much of a work out for an 80 class reel. How do they perform on 150-200lb tuna etc. Any salt water intrusion?

Thanks to all for the replies. I have the Barnes manual (#4), but it doesn't list these bullets. I will not be using them for anything more dangerous than paper. Barnes sent me the data from the #3 manual, but there is no data on this particular bullet.

Received a box of these a few years ago on a trade. I finally obtained a 416 Remington (M=70) and want to use these up, but can't find any reloading data. Anyone know a decent load for these bullets, or where i can find data? As always thanks for any help.

Impossible to import powder (or live ammo) into Canada and the only Cabela's is 30miles away, but none in stock. My point was that $250 delivery if ordering online is outright robbery. There are only a few Cabela's in all of Canada. Many would have no option other than to order on-line.

I actually live a few blocks from Epp's, and the truth is, they have very, very little powder in stock, and virtually none of the popular one's. Thanks for the thought tho.

Components here in Canada are hard to come by, and pricey. Checked this morning to see if Cabela's had any powder in stock. Very little and priced around $80 a lb, CDN. What caught my attention was a notation stating a shipping fee of $250 CDN. That's just wrong. Period.

Thank you for your reply. What i did was take up the slack in all three screws, then snug up the two action screws before the forend screw. Then i tightened the action screws just till they felt solid. Didn't take much as the rifle is fully bedded. Will try it at the range tomorrow.

Just received my latest on-line purchase. Brno 602 chambered in 416 Rigby. Overall , i'm very pleased with it's condition. To cold to go to the range today, but it feeds and extracts well. Even came with an old Zeiss FX scope. The glass itself is clear as a bell, but until i shoot it, who knows...

Perhaps a little more detail. The one in am asking about "X" #41690 appears the same as the "TSX" flat base bullet, but only has one cannelure grove, instead of four. Are they the same for reloading purposes? Thanks

Thanks for all the interest, guy's. Went ahead and gave the inertia puller a try and as luck would have it, worked fine. Dumped the powder, since i had no idea what it was, de-activated the primers, then treated the cases as once fired. Now have a good selection of practice ammo. Thanks again

I bought 80pcs of 458WM reloads that were advertised as 480gr. When i received them, they didn't look quite right. I managed to pull one of the bullets and it turns out they are 405gr. The seller argued the point, but after some pointed emails, allowed that he may have been mistaken. I am leery...
